Ways to protect your car in intense heat

Heat can cause damage to car

This is the third day in a row we are hovering around triple-digit temps. And chances are you can’t just stay home and wait for things to cool off.

When you jump in the car, it gets even worse. It can feel like an oven reaching 130 to even 170 degrees, and that will leave a mark on your car. The leather seats can crack, the exterior paint can chip, overinflated tires can pop like a balloon, engines can overheat and it can even develop mold from the high humidity.

At best, it’s uncomfortable, and at worst, it’s costly.

So, with this heat lasting, Ken Huening, the CEO of Cover Seal Outdoor Covers, joined Local 4 Live to talk about how you can protect your car.
