Waking up to sunshine across Southeast Michigan today before clouds gradually increase later in the day. Temperatures will climb to around 80 degrees, with comfortable conditions expected for most of the day. An isolated shower can’t be ruled out this evening, but the weather pattern changes Saturday as showers and thunderstorms develop across all of Southeast Michigan.
Scattered morning showers will be possible Saturday, but storm coverage will increase through the day, with the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms during the afternoon. A marginal (Level 1 out of 5) risk for severe weather will be in place, with the primary threats including damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and small hail. Heavy downpours could also lead to localized flooding.

The front will push through Saturday night, bringing a noticeable change in the weather for Sunday. Cooler and breezier conditions are expected, with lingering chances for showers and temperatures only reaching the 70s. Gusty winds will add to the cooler, more fall-like feel.
Drier weather returns for the start of next week, with temperatures remaining slightly below average. The next chance for rain after the weekend look to be next Wednesday.
