OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – John Mellencamp’s scheduled performance at Pine Knob Music Theatre on Thursday, July 16, has been canceled due to poor air quality in southeast Michigan.
Venue officials said the decision was made based on guidance from public health authorities as smoke from wildfires continued to create hazardous air quality conditions across the region.

Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds and do not need to take any additional action, according to the venue.
Those who purchased tickets through third-party resale platforms, including StubHub, SeatGeek, or Vivid Seats, should contact their point of purchase for refund information.
The cancellation comes as air quality alerts remain in effect across metro Detroit, with health officials urging residents to limit outdoor activity because of elevated levels of wildfire smoke.
