DEARBORN, Mich. – One person was seriously injured, and a suspect has been arrested following a non-fatal shooting outside of Walmart in Dearborn.
The incident occurred on Thursday (July 23) near Ford Road and Mercury Drive around 5:20 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a possible shooting.

Upon arrival, officers said they located one victim suffering from serious, but non-life-threatening injuries believed to have resulted from a gunshot wound.
Dearborn Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment.
Police said they immediately searched the area and quickly took the suspected shooter into custody.
The firearm believed to have been used in the incident has also been recovered, according to officials.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two individuals involved.
At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public.
