ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Fine Art Fair at Michigan Lottery Arts, Beats & Eats has been ranked No. 7 in the nation for fine art and design by Sunshine Artist magazine.
The annual “200 Best” ranking gives the LaFontaine INFINITI-presented Fine Art Fair the highest ranking of any Michigan fine art fair on this year’s list.

The recognition also marks the highest national ranking in the Fine Art Fair’s history.
The ranking is based on feedback from artists and craftspeople.
Each year, Sunshine Artist asks participating artists to identify the shows where they achieved their strongest sales during the previous year.
Those responses determine the national rankings.
The national recognition could also help the festival attract more established artists from Michigan and around the country, organizers said.
A stronger applicant pool gives jurors a broader selection of work when choosing artists for the show.
The juried Fine Art Fair features artists working in a variety of media.
Organizers said the event is designed for experienced collectors, first-time art buyers, families, and festivalgoers.
Visitors can browse original artwork, speak with artists and learn more about their work throughout the event.
Organizers said the combination of nationally recognized artists and opportunities for visitors to interact directly with creators has helped make Royal Oak a destination on the national art fair circuit.
