ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – A St. Clair Shores woman was sentenced to two years of probation after pleading no contest to a charge stemming from the death of a 76-year-old woman who was found at the end of a driveway in November 2025, the Macomb County prosecutor’s office said.
Stephanie Holt, 32, pleaded no contest July 15 to failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault, resulting in death.

Faunce sentenced Holt Tuesday (Sept. 22) to two years of probation, with 365 days to be served in the Macomb County Jail.
Holt will serve the jail sentence on weekends, beginning Sept. 25, and is scheduled to serve 100 weekends, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Holt was also ordered to have no contact with the victim’s family, complete 200 hours of community service, and attend counseling.
Police were called Nov. 1, 2025, to a St. Clair Shores location after a body was found at the end of a driveway.
The woman had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Officials alleged that Holt struck the woman while backing out of her driveway.
The victim was identified as Mary Hulswit, 76, of St. Clair Shores.
