Starting Monday, Nov. 9, through March 31, the multi-use path will have shorter hours as winter approaches. The hours of operation will return to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning April 1.
Here are the new hours:
- Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Weekends: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to the Gordie Howe International Bridge’s website, people need to plan accordingly to complete their journey before the path’s scheduled closing time. All users need to exit the path by the posted closing time because they cannot access it beyond operating hours.
The multi-use path stretches 1.5 miles along the bridge, about a 20-minute bike ride or a 45-minute walk one way.
The path is free for all users. People can enter the path through 4389 Sandwich Street, Windsor, ON, and 6524 West Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI.
Check the Gordie Howe Bridge’s website to see what’s prohibited and what’s allowed on the path.
