DETROIT – A volunteer cleanup crew found a human skull Wednesday while picking up trash near Holcomb and Louis streets in east Detroit.
Detroit police have been searching for other body parts with the help of a cadaver dog. The dog hasn't found anything yet.
"In the process of removing the brush and the debris and the tall vegetation, we found what looks to be the remains of a human," said Mike Score, who was one of the people who found the skull.
The cleanup has continued while the Medical Examiner has taken the skull to try to identify it. They will start with dental records.
