DETROIT – One man is in serious condition after being shot Monday afternoon on Detroit's west side.
Police were dispatched to the 5600 block of Linwood Street just before 11:30 Monday afternoon for a gunshot victim. According to police, the suspect and the 49 year-old victim had a verbal altercation resulting in the suspect shooting the victim.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where is listed in temporary serious condition. The incident is still under investigation. So far, there are no suspects in custody.
