DETROIT – A man was fatally shot early Saturday in an elevator at Greektown Hotel.
Police said the victim and a 28-year-old man had an altercation at about 4:07 a.m. inside a room on the ninth floor. The dispute continued outside the room and into an elevator.

Police said the shooter pulled out a handgun and shot the victim. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
The shooter was arrested and taken to the Detroit Detention Center. Police said the shooting does not appear to be random.
