Travis McMichael faces cross-examination by prosecutors Thursday in the trial of the fatal shooting of Black man Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia.

Travis McMichael is one of three men accused of chasing and shooting Arbery on Feb. 23, 2020. Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan are all currently on trial, facing charges for murder and other crimes.

The accused men argue that they believed Arbery was a burglar and they intended to catch him and hold him until law enforcement arrived. A now-viral video captured the three men pursuing Arbery, who was reportedly jogging in the area, with guns.

Travis McMichael testified Wednesday that Arbery attacked him and grabbed his shotgun, forcing Travis McMichael to make a split second “life or death” decision.
