VIDEO: Daring firefighters rescue man from fast-moving floodwaters in Texas

A driver was rescued from fast-moving floodwaters in San Antonio, Texas early Monday morning. The dramatic rescue was captured on video.

The footage shows the man trapped on the roof of his SUV as water rushes across the low-lying highway. Firefighters, with their ladder fully extended, had to tie an extra step ladder to the end in order to reach the SUV. The driver was then able to slowly move to safety.

According to WOAI, the man was not injured in the incident and was the only person in the SUV. He was on his way to work when he became stranded in one foot of water. The water level quickly rose against the SUV.

Fire crews said that at soon as the driver came off the vehicle, it began to bob in the water, indicating that the four tires were not touching the ground.
