Pastor escorts man to police station, man confesses to wife's murder

Detroit Police: Man turned himself in Friday morning

DETROIT – Detroit police said a man has confessed to shooting and killing his wife in their home.

Police said the husband showed up with his pastor Friday morning at a precinct to turn himself him.

He told police he had shot his wife multiple times overnight in their home on Bedford Street near Windsor.

The couple's three children, ages 9 to 15, were home at the time of the shooting but didn't witness it, police said.

Their father dropped them off at a neighbor's home before turning himself in.

Police said they don't have a record of any domestic violence at the couple's home.
