Pontiac woman found beaten to death in her home

53-year-old victim found with 'obvious head trauma,' sheriff's office says

PONTIAC, Mich. – A Pontiac woman was found beaten to death Sunday in her home on Putnam Avenue, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said. 

Jacqueline Shelton, 53, was found by deputies on the floor of her bedroom. 

The Sheriff's Office said she had "obvious signs of trauma" to her head. 

An autopsy determined she died from blunt force trauma. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
