Royal Oak police: Convicted felon arrested in road rage incident
Suspect was released from prison in 2008
Police said a Jonathan Dehaven Reed-Murphy was taken into custody Dec. 26, 2011 when he was pointed out by a citizen as being involved in the road rage on 13 Mile Road.
ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Royal Oak police said a man who had just gotten off parole for murder and felony firearms convictions was arrested again this week in connection with a road rage incident.
Police said a Jonathan Dehaven Reed-Murphy was taken into custody Monday afternoon when he was pointed out by a citizen as being involved in the road rage on 13 Mile Road. Police said an officer tried to stop Reed-Murphy in a parking lot, but he jumped out of his car and ran. The 33-year-old was arrested after a brief struggle and police said a 0.38 caliber handgun was found in his jacket.

He has been charged with felony firearm, resisting and obstructing a police officer and carrying a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $100,000.
Reed-Murphy was released from prison in 2008 after serving a 10-year sentence on convictions for felony firearms, an assault with intent to commit murder conviction and a second-degree murder charge.
