Surveillance camera shows young child stealing package from porch of Detroit home

DETROIT – Security cameras captured a child stealing a package from the porch of a home in Detroit's Palmer Park neighborhood several weeks ago.

Footage showed a little girl grabbing the package off the porch before she ran back to a waiting vehicle.

The vehicle appears to be an older model Ford Expedition that sounds like it may have engine problems.

Police believe the driver may have been following the delivery driver, because the package was stolen about 20 minutes after it was delivered.
