The house on Woodbine Street, just south of McNichols Road, was full of Trash, mountains of dirty clothes and toys, as well as bed bugs and feces.

The parents said they don't see anything wrong with the way the children were living.

As items are removed from the home, there are piles in a neighbor's front lawn, and a garage of a vacant home is packed with junk, creating a health hazard and haven for rats.

One mother won't let her children play outside because she fears the items may be contaminated with human waste.

"I don't want them to get sick. It's almost as if they've got to have on Hazmat suits just to play in the front of the yard," she said.

Child Protective Services has opened an investigation. The children were taken to a hospital to be checked out, and a family friend said they are OK.

Tickets are being issued to those involved with moving the items outside.
