Also included in the deal is a player to be named later and cash, heading to Detroit.

The Tigers confirmed the deal on Monday morning. The MLB trade deadline is Monday afternoon.

Candelario, 23, is ranked the No. 96 prospect in baseball heading into the year by MLB.com. He's hitting .266/.361/.507 with 27 doubles, three triples and 12 homers in 81 games for Triple-A Iowa this season.

Paredes is an 18-year-old infielder who is considered far away from being major league ready.
