All eyes are on Michigan ahead of the primary election, with some races garnering national attention.
But first, you have to know where to cast your ballot. On Saturday, the Department of Elections hosted a free block party in Detroit’s New Center neighborhood, to help voters get registered and get election information.

“I just want Detroiters to make sure that they make a plan to vote for this important midterm, said Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey.
The Michigan Voting Dashboard reports more than half a million voters have already cast absentee ballots ahead of the primary.
When it comes to early voting, those sites will stay open at least 8 hours a day through Sunday August 2nd.
All registered voters are eligible.
But keep in mind your early voting location could be different from your regular polling place.

Election Day is on Tuesday August 4th.
