Detroit City FC to host National Semifinal after clinching Midwest region

DETROIT – Detroit City FC will host a big National Semifinal game at Keyworth Stadium this weekend.

Here's more info from the Detroit City FC website:

Detroit City FC will host its 2017 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) National Semifinal powered by Mitre at Keyworth Stadium on Saturday, August 5.

DCFC was crowned the NPSL Midwest Region champion on Saturday night thanks to a 3-2 victory over AFC Ann Arbor. Tyrone Mondi scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the match to secure City's first-ever region championship.

Midland-Odessa FC plays in the NPSL Lonestar Conference. It beat Inter Nashville FC 1-0 in the NPSL South Region Final on Saturday to advance to the national semifinal.

Due to DCFC's higher seeding, which is based on points per game, Le Rouge (a #2 seed) will host its semifinal match. Saturday's other national semifinal is #1 Elm City Express vs #4 CD Aguiluchos USA in New Haven, Connecticut.

General admission playoff tickets are $10.

DCFC season ticket holders will receive an email about priority playoff tickets.

Gold Card season tickets are the only season tickets that will be honored during the weekend.

Tickets will open up to the public at tickets.detcityfc.com on Monday, July 31 at 12 PM ET.
