DETROIT – The MLB waiver trade deadline is approaching at midnight on Thursday, and the Detroit Tigers are busy making calls.

The Tigers have already traded Justin Upton to the Angels on Thursday and reports say they aren't done.

Jon Morosi reports the team is in full sell mode ahead of the midnight waiver trade deadline Thursday night, with Justin Verlander, Shane Greene and Alex Wilson all in play.

The MLB's waiver trade deadline is Thursday at midnight ET. Stay tuned.

Since the trade deadline passed, Verlander has done his best work of the season. He's 3-1 in August with 41 strikeouts in 36 innings. He's allowed just 23 hits, six walks and 10 runs over that span.

The team traded J.D. Martinez and Justin Wilson before the non-waiver trade deadline back in July.
