The second event will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, featuring both fighters and additional card participants to be announced.
The fight is the culmination of a four-year rivalry between Paul, known for redefining boxing promotion with his showmanship, and Davis, regarded as one of boxing’s most feared punchers and often compared to Mike Tyson.
Both fighters are favorites among younger generations, with Paul popular among Gen Alpha and Davis among Gen Z.
Paul headlines this fight almost exactly one year after leading the largest boxing or MMA event in over 40 years, while Davis holds the record for the highest pay-per-view buys and revenue in the past four years.
Tank Davis and Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s relationship background
Davis was once a protege of Mayweather Jr., under Mayweather Promotions early in his career.
However, their relationship has since deteriorated amid public disputes over career control and accusations regarding Mayweather’s attempts to limit Davis’s legacy.
Davis left Mayweather Promotions in 2022 to gain more control over his career and build his own legacy separate from his former mentor.
Despite the fallout, Davis has acknowledged the mentorship and guidance he received from Mayweather, who saw great potential in him and aimed to make him a boxing superstar.
