Campbell spoke on the NFC North and upcoming interdivision games.

“You’re going to start seeing some risers and fallers,” said Campbell.

The bottom line, Campbell said, is finding a way to win the division.

Campbell called the Vikings a good division opponent.

“They always find a way to win and be competitive,” Campbell said.

Campbell continued his praise, calling former Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy “Mobile,” stating he has a “Big arm and he’s accurate.”

Campbell then spoke about his own team, offering high praise to Graham Glasgow, stating he’s “A smart guy, he’s played a lot of ball, and he’s kind of calmed us down in there.”

He noted how Glasgow has helped newcomers Christian Mahogany and Tate Ratledge.

“They’re not young anymore, they’re veterans now,” Campbell said of Graham, Taylor Decker, and Penei Sewell.

“Graham has been great; he was a good move, and he’s helped stabilize us there in the middle,” Campbell said.

As for injuries, Campbell stated there is no news on Marcus Davenport other than that he is improving, and there is no return date yet.

On Sione Vaki, “He practiced yesterday [Monday], he’s going to practice today [Tuesday], he’s going to practice Thursday after the day off, so we’re hopeful,” Campbell said.

Campbell said the plan is to get Vaki to the game on Sunday.

The Lions play the Vikings this Sunday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. inside Ford Field in downtown Detroit.
