A Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver took a swing at a Detroit Lions fan in Sunday’s game at Ford Field.
Early in Sunday’s Detroit–Pittsburgh matchup, DK Metcalf went to the stands and engaged with a fan. Video appears to show him tugging at the fan’s blue wig before swinging a closed fist in his direction.
It’s unclear whether the punch made contact or merely glanced past.
Metcalf avoided an ejection, but that doesn’t end the matter. Any physical interaction with fans is typically a red line for the league, raising the possibility of discipline.
