MINNEAPOLIS – The Detroit Lions listed two players on the final injury report ahead of their Christmas Day road game vs. the Minnesota Vikings.
Detroit is coming suffering back-to-back losses for the first time since October of the 2022 season when they dropped five games in a row.
With their playoff hopes on the line, the Lions, inside Ford Field, dropped their final home game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-24.
With the loss, their quest to make the NFL playoffs sits in the hands of divisional foe the Green Bay Packers, who swept the series in 2025 and lead the Lions by one game with two remaining.
For Detroit, they’ll need to win their next two games on the road against the Vikings and the NFC North Division-leading Chicago Bears just to have a chance at making it into the postseason.
They’ve listed cornerback Avonte Maddox and offensive tackle Giovanni Manu out for the Christmas Day game.
Here’s the full injury report from Thursday’s practice:
- Cornerback Avonte Maddox -- out (back/illness).
- Offensive tackle Giovanni Manu -- out (knee).
- Center Trystan Colon -- out (questionable).
- Defensive end Marcus Davenport -- questionable (shoulder).
