DETROIT – Former Michigan Wolverines star Amani Toomer is not happy with Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football.

Toomer, who played for the Wolverines between 1994 and 1995, making the All Big Ten team in both years, says the Wolverines are "mired in miedicority."

Toomer made the comments in an interview published by All Access Football at the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame event.

"I'm really upset with how Harbaugh has been at Michigan," Toomer said. "1-5 against Michigan State and Ohio State, only beat Michigan State once, last year and the rest of the times it's a loss."

"Him and Brady Hoke are neck and neck with records," he continued. "He's a guy who hasn't won the big game anywhere. Not high school, not college, not pros, and I think his act wore thin in San Francisco."

"We are mired in mediocrity and accepting it. That's not what I think of Michigan. I don't think of Michigan as an 8-3 team and being excited because we have Jordan shoes. I don't care about the shoes, I don't care about going to Rome. We are an "also-ran" team in the Big Ten now - and it's embarrassing."
