DETROIT – Just imagine: You're stuck in the woods, and your phone battery is dead, and all you're carrying is something called a BioLite CampStove. Guess what? You're in luck!
You can use the stove to charge your cell phone? That's right - all you need is a bit of wood and your cell phone's charge cable, because this actually exists: the BioLite CampStove is a small sized column of metal with holes in the sides that make it look almost like a cheese grater. Into it's biomass hopper, you can drop pinecones, wood pellets and twigs to start a contained fire that generate power to the charger.

Point Source Power, which designed the charger, says you can fully charge the fuel cell in as few as two cooking sessions. Unfortunately, you can't get the VOTO in stores unless you live in Kenya or online. Point Source Power's Craig Jacobsen explains in the video below,
"There are 1.5 billion people in the world today that don't have electricity, however they do have electric needs, primarily driven by the cell phone."
