Ann Arbor Walk to End Alzheimers to take place virtually in October
ANN ARBOR, Mich. Turn Ann Arbor into a socially distanced sea of purple while raising funds to battle Alzheimers. Manage your fundraiser, steps and walk distances with new features on the Walk to End Alzheimers mobile app. Ann Arbor participants can walk in their neighborhoods, on tracks, in parks or on trails. In continuation of Walk to End Alzheimers tradition, a promise garden will be planted in Ann Arbor to represent those impacted by the disease. Free health screenings for seniors Nov. 19 in Southfield
Henry Ford Health System, Allure Medical and Health Alliance Plan are offering free health screenings for seniors Nov. 19 at the Southfield Pavillion convention center in Southfield. More than 60 organizations will be in attendance at the fair, with specializations including Veterans benefits, Medicare, assisted living, Alzheimers and more. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and is free to all seniors and caregivers. The organizations will be awarding prizes and complimentary bagels and coffee will be available.
