Michigan State backup quarterback Anthony Russo on Wednesday accepted a plea deal to a lesser charge after being arrested for operating while intoxicated earlier this month. The misdemeanor charge involves no jail time or probation, and Russo must pay $800 in fines and court costs. The former Michigan State quarterback is transferring to Northern Iowa, according to reports from Rivals and 247Sports. Northern Iowa is an FCS program from the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Auburn redshirt sophomore running back Harold Joiner announced Thursday night via Twitter he’s committed to Michigan State.
