Michigan State QB commit Katin Houser shines at Elite 11 finals
The 2022 quarterback and Michigan State commit from St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif., was one of 12 players (yes, 12) named the 2021 Elite 11 on Saturday night. He committed to Boise State in April but decommitted on June 24 following an official visit to Michigan State. Rocky Lombardi, who transferred from Michigan State to Northern Illinois in the offseason, is the last from the program to compete in the Elite 11 finals in 2016. Anthony Russo, who transferred from Temple to Michigan State in January, was named to the Elite 11 in 2015. WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Warmer weather has accommodated outdoor dining that’s helped Ann Arbor-area restaurants stay busy this summer and meet safety guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As long as the weather stays nice, Ramlawi said he won’t open the inside and will continue to offer patio seating. Offering outdoor seating this winter is a wait-and-see situation, he said. Frita Batidos, 117 W. Washington St. in Ann Arbor, is upgrading the restaurant’s heaters for their patio, owner Eve Aronoff said. Sava’s, 216 S. State St. in Ann Arbor, intends to have a heated tent open through the beginning of next year, owner Sava Farah said.
