A juvenile was killed in an overnight shooting on Detroit’s west side. Police responded around 1:45 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert on Brace Street, near the Southfield Freeway.

DETROIT – Police are searching for two men in connection with an attempted robbery of an off-duty officer on the city’s west side. Detroit police said the officer fired a shot at the men, striking one of them. The teen was dropped off in a red 2006 Pontiac Vibe. Police are looking for the other two men, who are described as Black, between the ages of 16 and 18, believed to be armed and driving in the red Pontiac Vibe. More: Detroit crime news
