(AP Photo)LOS ANGELES – Attorneys for Britney Spears and her father sparred Thursday over how he should share power with a financial company newly appointed as his partner in the conservatorship that controls her money. Thoreen had argued that the proposed order Britney Spears' court-appointed attorney Samuel Ingham III drafted to appoint the new co-conservator was “unclear and ambiguous by design” as he seeks to take authority away from Jamie Spears. Miley Cyrus shouted “We love Britney!” during her pre-Super Bowl performance Sunday. Spears reflected in court papers that she wanted her father to be the sole conservator of her estate,” Thoreen said.

Lawyer: Britney Spears fears father, wants him out of career
LOS ANGELES – Britney Spears fears her father and will not resume her career so long as he has power over it, her attorney said in court Tuesday. "My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father,” Ingham told the judge. Most of the attorneys involved, along with Britney Spears' parents, took part in the hearing via phone and videoconference. For most of the conservatorship James Spears also served as conservator over not just his daughter's finances but her person, giving him great control over her life decisions. He stepped down temporarily from that role last year, citing health reasons, and Britney Spears has requested that his temporary replacement, Jodi Montgomery, be made permanent.

Britney Spears shows love for #FreeBritney in court filing
LOS ANGELES Britney Spears is welcoming public scrutiny of the court conservatorship that has controlled her life and money for 12 years as she seeks to push her father out of power, according to a Thursday court filing. James Spears and the conservatorship's attorneys who work for him have constantly sought to have courtrooms closed and filings sealed in the case. But Britney Spears objects to the sealing of her father's motion to have attorney Andrew Wallet returned to his role of co-conservator along with James Spears. Recent filings showed that Britney Spears' assets, which the conservatorship controls, totaled about $50 million at the start of 2020. The dueling motions set up a showdown between James and Britney Spears that will be the subject of an October hearing and could stretch into a longer court fight.

Britney Spears asks court to curb father's power over her
That briefly left James Spears with sole power over Britney Spears' life, money and career, a situation she says she very much wants to avoid repeating. An email seeking comment from James Spears' attorney was not immediately returned. The documents also reveal that Britney Spears has no plans to perform again anytime soon. The filing gave a rare glimpse at Britney Spears' own wishes in the conservatorship that has had vast power over her for over a decade. Britney Spears' attorney said that he expects James Spears will aggressively contest being marginalized, and said that Britney Spears has suggested they retain a lawyer with expertise in complex financial court fights.

Omar describes life as a fearless fighter in new memoir
Now, Omar is out with a new memoir that offers her own spin on her path to prominence, starting with her childhood in Mogadishu. Instead, it sketches rugged years that Omar says made her a fearless fighter, unafraid to skirmish with President Donald Trump and her frequent conservative critics. A YOUNG FIGHTERIn her memoir, written with Rebecca Paley, Omar recounts taking on a much taller boy when she was just 7, rubbing his face in the sand after he picked on someone weaker. Since the couple had married religiously not civilly -- to get divorced, Hirsi had to simply declare the marriage ended, Omar wrote. The lawmaker told Omar she was different, and eventually said it was because she walks into a room like a man.A white man, Omar said she responded.
