Tigers manager will lead MLB squad in Korea next month
Hinch will manage the Major League squad during next month’s Korea Series, the league announced on Monday. A group of MLB players will play four exhibition games against Korean stars in Busan (Nov. 11-12) and Seoul (Nov. 14-15). The series will mark the first time MLB players have traveled to the country to play games since 1922. “I’m very excited to lead this group of Major Leaguers in the upcoming Korea Series,” Hinch said in a team release. “South Korea has a rich baseball tradition, and I’m looking forward to seeing our players matchup against some of the top talent from the KBO.
