Statistics show STEM careers earn nearly two times that of non-STEM occupations, and in Michigan, opportunities abound for individuals entering the workforce in a STEM career.

Despite the many challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Michigan’s “financial position remains strong,” according to the school’s annual report.

LANSING, Mich. – More than 62,000 people have applied to Michigan Reconnect since the program launched on Feb. 2. The program is called Michigan Reconnect. The number of applicants jumped last week when 14,000 Michiganders who applied but didn’t qualify for Futures for Frontliners were automatically enrolled for Michigan Reconnect.
