Lions free up roster space by cutting linebacker; Desmond Trufant returns to practice
ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions have freed up a roster spot by cutting linebacker Elijah Lee. The roster spot could be used for the addition of Everson Griffen, who was acquired in a trade with Dallas this week. Coleman has been stuffed on IR because of a hamstring injury since the opener. Trufant did make a limited return to practice on Thursday though, and could be trending toward a return. Peterson did hold his regular Zoom session with reporters after practice, which is a good sign his injury is not serious.
