The 30-year-old slugger has reportedly signed with the Orix Buffaloes of the National Professional Baseball League. Schwindel was known as a Triple-A masher who didn’t get his first shot at the big leagues until 2019. Schwindel then signed with the Tigers, finishing the season in Triple-A Toledo. He was a member of the Toledo satellite camp in the COVID-shortened 2020 season but never got a chance to play for the Tigers, even after C.J. But Schwindel struggled in 2022 and was designated for assignment late in the year.
