Your kids can learn tumbling skills from a national champion
Instead of getting stir-crazy and jumping around the house, they can release that energy by learning proper tumbling techniques with a Junior Olympic National Champion at her gymnastic center in Redford. Kendyl Stewart from Kenetic Athletics Gymnastics Center created her center to encourage a diverse and inclusive environment for all future gymnasts. Because of the pandemic, some families may be struggling to afford extracurricular activities but Kenetic Athletics offers their “Sponsor A Gymnast” program for tuition assistance. Kenetic Athletics is located at 25450 5 Mile Rd., Redford MI. Visit the Kenetic Athletics website to donate or sign up your future gymnast for class.
Former Michigan gymnast says doctor assaulted him in 1969
The university has said it believes he assaulted athletes, and it wants to compensate victims outside court. Black said he knew teammates as well as other Michigan athletes were assaulted. No small talk, no nothing. In 1969, his first year at Michigan, Black said he tried to express his concern to gymnastics coach Newt Loken as they sat alone on a bench. Coach Loken's an older gentleman, terrific communicator, terrific recruiter, terrific coach. Always gabby but that shut him up.Loken had a very wry, very Cheshire Cat smile, Black said.
