Louisville has made it official: Jeff Brohm is back in town. Brohm, one of the most accomplished signal callers in school history, will leave Purdue to return to his alma mater and lead Louisville football program, UofL Vice-President/Director of Athletics Josh Heird announced on Thursday.

The Indiana-Purdue rivalry game has been canceled again. It will be the first time in-state rivals have not met in a football season since the Spanish flu pandemic forced cancellations in 1918 and 19. Now, their rivalry game for the Old Oaken Bucket has been canceled for the second time in two weeks — and the third time this season. “As we stated last week, we know the history and tradition of this great rivalry game and how much it means to our current students, alumni and fans," they said Tuesday. The Hoosiers haven't won a bowl game since 1991 and Allen believes that would be a good way to wrap up a historic season.
Purdue’s Jeff Brohm tests positive for COVID-19
Purdue coach Jeff Brohm has tested positive for COVID-19, he confirmed in a Monday videoconference with reporters. That means the Boilermakers will be without their head coach when they open the season on Saturday against Iowa. Brohm becomes the first Big Ten head coach known to have tested positive for the coronavirus. Other coaches, including Florida’s Dan Mullen, Kansas' Les Miles, Florida State’s Mike Norvell and Arizona’s Kevin Sumlin have also tested positive for the virus. Alabama’s Nick Saban tested positive last week, but subsequent tests revealed that to be a false positive, allowing him to be on the field for the Tide’s Saturday win over Georgia.
