A Long Island architect has pleaded guilty to murdering seven women and admitted he killed an eighth in a string of long-unsolved crimes known as the Gilgo Beach killings.

The New York architect accused in a string of deaths known as the Gilgo Beach killings has been charged in the death of a seventh woman.

Authorities say a woman whose remains were among discoveries that became known as the Gilgo Beach killings has been identified after 27 years.
