The Detroit Red Wings announced Monday that Dennis Cholowski and Mathias Brome have been reassigned from its taxi squad to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Cholowski, a 23-year-old defenseman, saw action in two games with Detroit this season, averaging 14:26 in ice time. Over three seasons as a pro, Cholowski has totaled 67 games as a Griffin (6-27—33) and 90 more as a Red Wing (9-15—24). A year ago, Cholowski recorded eight points (2-6—8) in 36 games with the Red Wings and 13 points (3-10—13) in 30 contests with Grand Rapids. Brome, a 26-year-old left wing, has registered one goal and eight penalty minutes in 24 appearances in his first season with the Red Wings.mlive.com
