Juuse Saros made 31 saves for his first shutout of the season and the Nashville Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings 2-0 on Tuesday night. โIโve been feeling good,โ Saros said. With Nashville up 1-0 and on a power play, Saros denied Darren Helm on a breakaway. Nashville was 1-2 on the power play while Detroit came up empty in three power play opportunities. But the Red Wings challenged for goaltender interference because Mikael Granlundโs skate had hit Bernierโs left pad, and the goal was nullified. AdThe Red Wings came up empty on their only power play in the second. โI thought our battle level was about 80%,โ Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. The Red Wings recalled forward Mathias Bromรฉ and defenseman Danny DeKeyser from the taxi squad and reassigned goaltender Kaden Fulcher to the taxi squad.
Radulov, Pavelski 2 goals as Stars beat Preds 7-0 in opener

Carolina-Nashville 1st NHL postponement since season started
The NHL did not specify which team prompted the postponement, though four Hurricanes players were added to the COVID-19 list Tuesday. The NHL already postponed the start of the Dallas Stars' season after six players and two staff members tested positive for the virus. Hurricanes players Warren Foegele, Jordan Martinook, Jaccob Slavin and Teuvo Teravainen joined captain Jordan Staal on the unavailable list because of COVID-19 protocols. The teams arenโt scheduled to play again in Nashville until the end of the season with back-to-back games on May 7-8. Now the Predators, who gave players Tuesday off after the postponement, are scheduled to visit Dallas on Friday night for the Stars' season opener.
