FREELAND, Mich. – Thousands of people turned out Thursday night in mid-Michigan at the MBS Airport to hear President Donald Trump speak. “Michigan will decide whether we return to prosperity,” President Trump said. “...Tell your governor to open your state.”The president had a lot of criticism for Gov. He also mentioned Biden visiting Michigan Wednesday in Metro Detroit. Polling released by Local 4 has Biden plus five over Trump in Michigan, which is a one-point above the margin of error.
Big Ten football could exclude University of Michigan, Michigan State this season, Trump tweets
Big Ten members University of Michigan and Michigan State University could be excluded from the next football season, according to a tweet posted by U.S. President Donald Trump. Had a very productive conversation with Kevin Warren, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference, about immediately starting up Big Ten football, Trump tweeted last week. A court filing disclosed on Aug. 31 showed that Big Ten Conference presidents voted 11-3 to postpone the football season due to the pandemic. The University of Michigans football season was originally slated to start this weekend. Trumps tweet on Sunday also comes a days after the Michigan High School School Athletic Association (MHSAA) reinstated football and other high school sports.
UAW endorses Joe Biden for President
DETROIT – The United Auto Workers (UAW) union leadership announced Tuesday they are endorsing Democratic candidate Joe Biden for President of the United States. “In a changing economic environment, we need steady leadership and planning to make sure the jobs of the future are good-paying union jobs with benefits,” said Gamble. “And UAW members need to know they have a voice in those changes.”Gamble added that it is important to have leadership that, at all times, considers the needs of working men and women in making policy choices, and judicial appointments. “UAW members ultimately want a voice.
