Wayne County officials have confirmed the first human case of West Nile virus in Metro Detroit this year.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) confirmed the case on Wednesday. It is the first human case of EEE reported in the state since 2021.

Of the latest products recalled, two of them have been distributed to retail stores in Michigan with a “Best by” date up to and including Aug. 16, 2026.
