2012: Art Modell, the businessman, entrepreneur and former National Football League team owner best known for moving the original Cleveland Browns to Baltimore, where they became known as the Ravens, dies at age 87 in Baltimore. Modell owned the Browns from 1961 to 1995, when he struck a deal with the NFL and the city of Cleveland that allowed him to move his team while relinquishing ownership of the Browns' name, colors, logos and history, paving the way for a new Cleveland Browns team that resumed play in 1999.
