Attorney: Oxford school staff, administrators betrayed trust by failing to prevent shooting, protect children
An attorney representing two sisters present for and injured in the Oxford High School shooting believes that school staff and administrators could have prevented the fatal shooting, but failed to do so.

“Each and every Defendant named herein created and increased the dangers then-existing at Oxford High School.”Among those wounded was Riley Franz, a 17-year-old senior at the high school. The day before the shooting, the first teacher in the suit saw Ethan Crumbley searching on his cellphone for ammunition. The teacher reported this to a counselor but allowed Ethan Crumbley to stay in the classroom. The meeting over, Ethan Crumbley returned to class with his backpack and the gun within it. At 12:52 p.m., authorities were notified of an active shooter at the high school.
