Michigan woman, 32, charged in hit-and-run that killed motorcyclist
TAYLOR, MI – A Michigan woman has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist in Metro Detroit. Ashley Anne Taylor-Baker, 32, of Taylor has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, tampering with evidence and moving violation causing death, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced Thursday. Taylor-Baker allegedly was driving west on Van Buren Road in Dearborn Heights at a high rate of speed when she fatally hit Rodney Bidwell, 42, of Taylor, who was riding his motorcycle. The Taylor Fire Department arrived on scene and transported Bidwell to the hospital where he later died, Worthy said. An investigation by the Dearborn Heights Police Department led to Taylor-Baker’s arrest on Sept. 16.
