Troy Weaver’s whirlwind of activity provides Pistons more promise for future

The Detroit Pistons team Troy Weaver inherited might have improved a bit on last season’s 20-46 record and 13th place finish in the Eastern Conference with a few tweaks, better health, and a little luck. The Pistons will look much different when their season begins on or shortly after Dec. 22. Only four players remain from last season – Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Svi Mykhailiuk and Sekou Doumbouya. Being a mid-to-late lottery team for an extended period gets you nowhere, as the Pistons have seen for some time. But they are much more relevant and have a more promising future following Weaver’s whirlwind of activity.
