A local business owner’s dream has turned into a nightmare after a high-speed chase ends with a car barreling through the front of a rental hall.

The Grosse Ile swing bridge over the Trenton Channel closed Wednesday night. Its expected to remain closed until further notice for maintenance and repairs. Drivers are urged to use West Jefferson and Grosse Ile Parkway as detours. Those who frequently cross the bridge are warned to plan for extra travel time.
