Volunteers rolled up their sleeves in Ypsilanti’s West Willow neighborhood, cleaning yards and making exterior repairs for residents in need as part of Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley’s Rock the Block series.

Around 20 volunteers will paint, clean and organize, build a Free Little Library, plant flowers, prepare a community garden, help with home improvement in the West Willow neighborhood.

A new crime-fighting tool in Ypsilanti Township has some people concerned about privacy. The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is presenting a plan to use license plate readers to help fight crime.
