Is the construction on the Gordie Howe International Bridge delayed until next year?

The potential delay centers around readiness issues at the ports of entry on both sides of the Detroit-Windsor crossing, though construction of the bridge itself is 98% complete.

The new Gordie Howe International Bridge is nearing completion on connecting the U.S. and Canadian bridge decks.

Even if May doesn’t turn out to be the month for the milestone moment of the decks being connected, that occasion should occur this summer.

The Gordie Howe International Bridge opening has been delayed until fall 2025.
